Spray Painting Kitchen Cabinets Dublin

The six stages of spraying a kitchen, in order.

Spray painting kitchen cabinets in Dublin follows six stages: protect and seal the room, remove handles and mask, degrease and key every surface, fill and sand repairs, spray a bonding primer, then spray two top coats. It costs €700 to €3000 and takes 1 to 3 days in your home.

The six stages

Every kitchen we spray goes through the same sequence, whatever the size.

  • Seal the working area, protect floors and adjoining rooms, set up extraction
  • Remove handles, mask hinges, appliances, worktops and glass
  • Degrease every surface, then key it by hand
  • Fill chips and dents, sand back flat
  • Spray the bonding primer matched to the door material
  • Spray two top coats, then reassemble and clean down

How the rest of the house is protected

Sheeting seals the kitchen doorway, floors are covered and extraction pulls the atomised mist out of the room. The rest of the house stays usable throughout and there is no overspray beyond the working area.

What happens on the last day

Doors are rehung and adjusted, handles refitted or new ones fitted, masking removed and the room cleaned. You can use the kitchen that evening, keeping cleaning gentle while the coating cures over the next two to three weeks.
