Fitted wardrobes, chests of drawers, dressing tables and headboards are sprayed using the same process as a kitchen: degrease, key, bonding primer and colour coats. Fitted wardrobe resprays start from around €500, and booking them alongside a kitchen costs less than a separate visit.
What works well
MDF and laminate fitted wardrobes take a sprayed finish perfectly, and those are what most Irish bedrooms have.
Freestanding timber pieces spray well too, and are often done in the same visit while the equipment is set up.
Colours for bedrooms
Bedrooms suit quieter colours than kitchens. Warm off whites, soft greys, muted sage and clay tones are what we spray most.
Matt is more popular upstairs than downstairs, because wardrobe doors take far less contact than kitchen doors.
