Dust
The dust comes from keying the surfaces, not from the spraying itself. Extraction at the source takes most of it before it can settle.
Floors, worktops, appliances and doorways are covered, and the coverings come up at the end of the job.
Smell
There is a paint odour while the coating is going on and for a while after. It is noticeable rather than overpowering, and it clears with the windows open.
Most customers are comfortable in the rest of the house throughout, and the room itself is fine again by the evening.
Pets and children
Keep pets and small children out of the room while work is on, mostly because of the masking and the doors being off rather than the coating itself.
