Why we price on doors and details rather than floor area.
Kitchen respray pricing follows the number of doors, drawer fronts and end panels rather than the room size. A small kitchen of around ten doors starts near €700, a medium kitchen of twenty to thirty pieces lands around €1250 to €1400, and a very large kitchen with an island runs €2000 to €3000.
What counts as a piece
Every door, every drawer front, every visible end panel and every plinth run is a separate item to mask, prepare, prime and coat. That is where the labour sits.
Two kitchens with the same floor area can differ a lot in price if one has deep pan drawers and a bank of tall units and the other has a few wide doors.
What else moves the price
Material matters. High gloss and vinyl wrapped doors need more preparation than sprayed timber or MDF, because the surface has to be keyed properly for the primer to grip.
A second colour on the island costs nothing extra in materials terms, but heavily carved or beaded door profiles take longer to prepare.
