Kitchen Cabinet Respray Dublin
Keep your units, change everything you see. Hand prepared, primed and sprayed in the colour you choose.
A kitchen cabinet respray keeps your existing units and repaints the doors, drawer fronts, end panels and frames in any colour you like. In Dublin it costs between €700 and €3000 depending on the number of doors, and most kitchens are finished in 1 to 3 days rather than the weeks a replacement takes.
Which doors can be resprayed
Almost every kitchen door in an Irish home can be resprayed. The door type decides the primer we use, not whether the job is possible.
Timber and solid wood
Sanded back where needed and primed. Grain stays visible unless you ask for a filled, flatter finish.
MDF and already painted
The easiest of all. A clean key and primer, then two topcoats for a perfectly flat finish.
Laminate and melamine
Resprayable with a bonding primer. This is the most common Irish kitchen from the 1990s and 2000s.
Vinyl wrap and thermofoil
Resprayable once the wrap is sound. Where a corner has lifted we remove and prepare the area before priming.
High gloss
Resprayable in gloss, satin or matt. Gloss needs extra coats and a more careful set up, so it sits at the top of the price band.
Shaker and profiled doors
Spraying reaches into the profile and the beading evenly, which is exactly where brushing leaves runs and missed edges.

How we respray a kitchen, step by step
- 1Survey and fixed quoteSend photos or we call out. We count the doors, drawers and panels, check the door type and give you a fixed written price with no extras added later.
- 2Masking and protectionWorktops, appliances, walls, floors and anything staying in the room are fully masked before a drop of paint is opened.
- 3Degrease and hand preparationYears of cooking grease are cleaned off, every surface is keyed by hand and chips or dents are filled and sanded flat. This is the step that decides how long the finish lasts.
- 4Bonding primerA primer suited to your door type goes on first, including a bonding primer for laminate, vinyl wrap and high gloss doors.
- 5Spray finishTwo topcoats are sprayed in your chosen colour and sheen, giving an even factory style finish with no brush or roller marks.
- 6Reassemble and clean downDoors are rehung and adjusted, handles refitted, masking removed and the kitchen left clean and ready to use.

Colour, finish and how long it lasts
Because we spray to a paint code, you can match a specific Farrow and Ball, Colourtrend or Dulux shade exactly rather than settling for something close. Matt, satin and gloss are all available, and two tone kitchens with lighter wall units over a deeper island are the most requested look in Dublin right now.
The coatings are made for cabinetry, so they take daily knocks, grease and cleaning far better than a brushed emulsion. Wipe with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoid abrasive pads, and the finish stays as it looks on day one for years.
