Do I Have to Empty My Kitchen Cupboards?

Much less preparation than people brace themselves for.

You do not need to empty the cupboards. Only the worktops need clearing, along with anything on top of the wall units and anything fixed to the doors. Interiors are not coated, so the contents can stay exactly where they are.

What to clear

Worktops, including the kettle, toaster and anything on the windowsill above the sink. The clearer the worktop, the better we can protect it.

Anything stored on top of the wall units, and anything hooked over a door such as tea towel rails or child locks.

  • Clear the worktops
  • Clear the tops of wall units
  • Remove anything fixed to a door
  • Leave cupboard contents where they are

What we handle

Taking the doors and drawer fronts off, labelling them, removing handles and refitting everything at the end is all part of the job.

Covering the floor, worktops and appliances is ours too, so an hour of clearing on your side is generally the whole ask.
