Nobody wants their kitchen out of action for a week. The good news is that a respray is quick compared to almost any other kitchen work. Most jobs are done in 1 to 3 days.
Day one: preparation
Doors and drawer fronts come off and are labelled. Everything is cleaned, degreased and sanded so the primer has something to grip. The rest of the room is masked and protected. Preparation takes the largest share of the time and it is what decides how long the finish lasts.
Day two: priming and spraying
Primer goes on first, then the colour coats. Spray equipment lays down an even film with no brush marks, and each coat needs curing time before the next one goes on.
Day three: reassembly and inspection
Doors go back on, handles are refitted, alignment is checked and every edge is inspected. We leave the room clean and tidy.
Curing and normal use
You can use the kitchen as soon as we confirm the coating has cured enough to handle. Treat the surfaces gently for the first couple of weeks while the coating reaches full hardness, and avoid scrubbing or harsh cleaners in that window.

- Heavy grease build up or old flaking coatings that need extra preparation
- Two colours instead of one
